WikiCity’s Coming Out Party (24 hours later)

Lots of folks seem to be interested in how yesterday’s press release went, so we thought we’d share the results since press release results (in general) seem to be a bit of a black hole.  Here are WikiCity’s our post-mortem press release results:

The Good:
>> Press release was published on 180 reputable websites creating some much-needed valuable links
>> We feel that the press release gives some degree of credibility as we share our story w/others
The Bad:
>> The nation-wide press release (the grand-daddy of them all) cost us $680
>> So far, not a single phone call or email from a journalist interested in telling our story
>> Only an incremental 100 unique visitors to WikiCity yesterday as a result of the press release
Would we do it again?  Hard to tell.  It is difficult to determine how much impact those additional links might have.  As of this morning, the number of WikiCity pages indexed by Google has not changed since yesterday.  Check back w/further results/conclusions later next week.
